I'm Mark Stephen.

And in this edition, I'm going to be exploring the Sounds of Glasgow in the company of Sound Thought,

a collective who present curated sound walks in the west end of the city.

Now, Sound Thought explore the impact humans and noise pollution can have on the environment,

with the aim of encouraging us to become more active

in preserving our local areas.

Four sound artists were involved in the project

and I met up with two of them.

Sonia Kilman and Kevin Leomo

in the west end of Glasgow.

This whole project of creating the sandbox came about in response to COP 26.

So we were part of a festival called the Deer Green Bothy,

which programmed a lot of kind of arts and cultural responses to the climate crisis,

kind of tapping into how the arts can really play a vital role in addressing climate change.
