Welcome to Horror Movie Club, the show where two dudes who aren't quite nerds, but not quite nubes. Choose a horror movie each week to rate and review. I'm Oshfin and I'm on the

phone with Brian. And this week, we're talking about the 2023 film, Godzilla Minas One, written and

directed by Takashi Yamazaki and starring Rion Suko Kamiki and Menami Hamavi.

In this film, following World War II, a pilot's attempt to restart his life in Japan

are put to challenge due to the legendary sea monster Godzilla making an unfortunate

appearance.

If you're new to our show, Brian and I are going to spend the first 10 to 15 minutes

just talking about the background of the movie.

Then we'll take a quick break and then come back and hit the plot, get into the spoilers,

and review the film.

For those of you who haven't listened to some of our past episodes or our end of your episode from last year,

you may not know that this was on Brian's list for last year.

I'm not going to say what number it was, but Brian, this was a second watch for you,

and you had a pretty favorable review of this as of last, right?

Yeah, I love this when I saw it in the theater last year, and this is my second watch,

my first re-watch since then.

Cool, cool.

Yeah, for me, it was a first time watch, and what inspired it is it just dropped on Netflix,

probably, like, within the last month.

And, yeah, for a while, like, you just couldn't find this movie anywhere.
