This guided meditation will help you witness the way that your body stores emotion and stress. You will be guided to connect the physical sensations in your body with the thoughts, feelings, and memories that may be keeping these sensations stuck. This awareness provides a great foundation to work through the core issues that may be contributing to your experience of physical pain. Begin by finding a posture that feels comfortable for you today,

whether that's sitting up in a chair with both feet firmly planted on the floor

and exhaling, filling the lungs with air, and sighing everything out, continuing to breathe in and out in whatever way feels natural for you today. The

and feeling the weight of your body grow heavier with each exhale. Focusing fully on the breath and the body has a memory for emotions.

And now, using your breath to tune into the rest of the body. Try and identify where any extra energy is living

in your body today. Perhaps it's in your gut, your throat, or chest. Not judging it, not trying to label it just yet, simply noticing

where the emotional energy is collecting in this moment. Thank you. And as you tune in to the frequency of whatever emotion you have in your body today, notice whether there's any connection between the spots where you tend to store your emotional energy

and any places in your body that frequently experience pain or discomfort.

Be careful not to judge it or try to change it.

We're simply trying to notice what is present right now. Thank you. A lot of emotional processing happens in the body, and the brain can play an active role in speeding that up simply by labeling the emotion.
