This week we're sharing a guided relaxation to help you take a few moments to breathe and relax during the busy holiday season.

The grounding breath. I invite you to sit down quietly. Close your eyes. Let your shoulders relax.

Let your jaw relax.

Take a deep breath and let your hands relax.

Your legs and knees and feet soft and relaxed and now bring your awareness to your

navel, and begin to take deep, slow, and steady breaths down into this space. And as you breathe, imagine that you're filling the area behind

your navel with your breath, filling it with energy, storing vital energy. Now place a hand over that place.

And let yourself feel it expand as you breathe in.

And draw your stomach in toward your spine as you breathe out.

Continue breathing deeply, consciously, deliberately, deliberately, steadily, steadily,

Now begin to visualize your feet connected with the earth like the roots of a tree and feel yourself to be firmly in contact with the ground that supports

Visualize the base of your spine, drawing energy up from the earth
