I'm Brian. I'm on the phone with Oshman, and today we are discussing Hellfest from 2018, directed by Gregory Plotkin, written by Seth M. Sherwood, Blair Butler, and Akella Cooper, starring Amy Forsyth, Rain Edwards, Bex Taylor-Claus, Roby Atoll, with a cameo from Tony Todd.

In this film, a group of friends visiting a haunted attraction is stocked by a serial killer.

If you're new to the show, we're going to discuss the background info on this movie for the first 15 or 20 minutes.

That's all going to be spoiler-free.

But then after you hear the transition music, we're going to walk through the plot in detail,

spoiling everything as we go, commenting on it and reviewing the film.

Yeah, and welcome to October programming, everybody.

I know the substance was also October.

But this is, I feel like where we're getting into,

this is a movie we're covering specifically because it's Halloween season,

and this takes place in Halloween season at a haunted attraction.

This is the time of year to watch stuff like this, right?

Yeah, I felt like this was a perfect film to, like we're recording this October 2nd.

Really great way to kick off the month of Halloween with like a haunted house movie.

Such a good pick. Yeah, yeah. I have mixed feelings on this like haunted attraction subgenre because I'm not sure that there has ever been a great one.

Maybe I'm wrong.

Maybe people will voice their opinions too.

But you can count on all of them to deliver a certain aesthetic, right?

I'm thinking like the house is October built, Hell House LLC, Haunt.
