Summary

Archery and bowhunting holds a mistique unmatched by any other predatorial pursuit we humans take part in. The arching flight of a well-made arrow toward the center of a distant target is a joy known to all who draw a bowstring... this episode is all about how to choose and set up exactly the right arrow and broadhead.

We're joined by 30-year Easton veteran and head marketing director Gary Cornum, who shares his experience and insights on the evolution of arrow shafts, fletching, broadheads, and more.

Gary leads us through the concepts of small-diameter arrows, the FOC (forward-of-center) weight trend, arrow spine strength and how it's measured, and the always-controversial topic of fixed-blade vs. mechanical broadheads.

reading about his comments on arrow design and so forth and thinking man that really is like space agy think

it think of it making an arrow shaft out of aluminum right and I remember when my

brother who was a little bit more of a rebel against the purest thing

than I was early on bought a batch of aluminum aeroshafts and my dad was appalled right?

That was my first impression impression the second was how much more

consistent they were than our little Port Orford Cedar aeroshafts and

aeroeevolution has continued in leaps and bounds in the years since.

That probably dates me a little more than I should admit.

But here's the cool thing.

On the line with me today, I've got Gary Cornum of Easton Archer and he's going to talk us through some of the great advancements and the pros and cons of various elements of the arrow shaft.
