Catherine, when Donald Trump was shot last weekend,

what did you notice about the reactions of Trump supporters?

Well, everybody's saying it's Providence who is saved by God.

It's really a major reinforcement, I think,

of an ongoing talking point point which is that Trump is

anointed by God. I mean to put in context we've had either more years of this folks

have been saying he's been sent from on high he might not not be a godly man, but he's God's guy.

And I think a sector of the movement has frankly consistently framed the contemporary political landscape

as being one of spiritual warfare and Trump is on the side of the angels

and Democrats on the side of the devils and are literally demonic so it fits into that whole narrative.
