happy that you have joined us. I have been making my bones in the comic book business for over

40 years. I started as an obsessed fan, seven years old, 1974, grabbing these comic books off

the spinner racks at the grocery mart, at the drugstore. Comic books were everywhere when I was a

kid. I was exposed to them at every stop with my mom or

my dad. And so I accumulated them 25 cents, 20 cents at the time when I started. And I built up this

collection of heroes and characters that I just could not get enough of. And the only way for me

to truly interact with them was through the pages of the comic books.

The cartoons that were on like Super Friends and maybe the occasional Batman or Superman

cartoon that was in reruns, they were okay, but they didn't have the sense of the detail

in the art or the complex storylines.

Today I rewatch a lot of those cartoons and they are so very childish.

You know, even as a kid, super friends, I was like, why isn't anybody hitting anybody?
