0:00.0 | All right. It's just wrapped up with Ted Naman and it was an absolute pleasure to be able to film with him today. |
0:07.5 | He's somebody I've been following his information forever. |
0:10.0 | The protein leveraging hypothesis is something I've been a huge fan of. I've been practicing it for a long time and I think it's pretty easy to grasp. |
0:19.0 | The main energy sources that we have are carbohydrates and fats and that should be our concern |
0:25.3 | when we're talking about being unhealthy, when we're talking about overeating, |
0:29.4 | when we're talking about gaining body fat. |
0:33.2 | One of the things that I always enjoyed that Ted Naman shares is that when we drive the amount |
0:38.1 | of protein that we eat, when we have non-energy sources of protein that aren't accompanied by fat that aren't |
0:47.4 | accompanied by carbohydrates it will help to drive down your overall hunger and |
0:52.4 | I think that that's the battle for a lot of people. |
0:54.7 | I know for myself, I like to eat. |
0:57.0 | And we start to think about, okay, what to eat, |
0:59.8 | how to eat, how do I manage this, |
1:01.8 | how do I handle this? |
1:03.2 | Well then you have to start to think about, well, |
1:05.0 | I'm going to start to really consume a lot of protein, |
1:07.6 | really lean sources of protein, |
1:10.0 | going to be eating maybe some vegetables, |
1:12.1 | maybe some fruit as well, because those are also satiating, |
1:15.9 | and those also have high fiber content |
1:18.8 | and usually low sugar content. |
1:21.0 | And so we want to just kind of look at food maybe differently than we have in the past and that's what I've learned so well from Ted Naman. |
