Folks in the far north there's a variety of really intriguing species but Moose is one of the

those that's just spectacular in the minds of hunters and especially hunters who have never done it and who dream of going to the far north and pursuing, you know, one of the biggest land mammals in North America. I think only probably the bison and maybe the occasional

coastal brown bear can achieve the same sort of weight as an Alaska Yukon bull Moose.

That was quite the intro.

I don't know if I can live up to the height but I'll try and tell a good story or two I guess.

Oh I'm pretty sure you've you've got some good stories and I know for fact you live up to that that introduction so gosh tell us just a little bit about yourself your background and you know what drove your early passion in hunting and then what took you to Alaska?

I started hunting early with my dad when I was three and he just took me out kind of like

road hunting in North Idaho sitting next to a clear cat and I remember he

I remember he shot a deer and I just thought it was so cool and I just I was consumed by it you know at that

point I wanted to kill anything that moved and so bad that he left I think I don't know maybe

it was like a 76 you would probably know a 760 model Remington semi-action 30 odd

six and he left me the gun and I was three and he went back to grab the truck.

It's like a couple hundred yards away.

Like this thing moves you blast it and it was obviously dead right and I knew I knew all the gun

safety rules he taught me and I'm like yeah dad, safety, right his dad, I'll shoot up.

So I stood there like, watch dark over this deer.
