All right, folks, autumn is fully here.

Hunts are in full swing across the nation,

whether you're just wrapping up your mule deer adventures and your elk hunts in the Rocky Mountain West,

or you're ready for that peak of the rut in whitetel country to show up and turn the woods into a magical place.

You know, this is a great time to be a sportsman, an outdoorsman, a hunter, and it can also be a time that exposes a lot of weaknesses,

generates a lot of questions about your gear.

And so I've been getting questions, my friends, about, you know, this or that type of gear,

cartridges, suitable bullets.

And I've also been getting some really cool messages on success stories. And so I want to share some of these with you today, especially some of those really cool success stories from kids that have been hunting with our listeners, their dads, their parents. And just anyway, really looking forward to sharing this with you.

It's one of the bright spots answering questions, receiving these messages from you, from our listeners.

It's one of the bright spots in my day, every day.

I do want to share a little bit of an update on granddad and my wife's father, whom, as some of you know, has been battling cancer for a while weakened by the chemotherapy.

He took a bad fall about 10 days ago and broke his neck, damaged it

badly. He's paralyzed now from the neck down. And it's been real touch and go. He's had pneumonia.

He's had gut issues. He's had a lot of different challenges. But man, he's a fighter. He's had gut issues. He's had a lot of different challenges. But, man, he's a

fighter. He's keeping his spirits up. And we sure love him for it. My wife has been spending

most of every day in the hospital with him and helping my mother-in-law as well because, well,

they're both

older and grandma has a hard time getting around. And anyway, I've just received an outpouring

of well-wishes, concerned questions, and lots of people I know are praying for Peter

Devine, my father-in-law, and I just want to say thank you.

Today, he was finally stable enough that they transferred him to a specialty recovery clinic.
