1:11.2 | Chrissy defines for us what body liberation is and how she accomplished it herself after joining a gym at one point with the sole goal in mind to quote unquote |
1:24.8 | Get skinny. It was in pursuit of that goal that she fell into the all too common cycle of not enough miss as she likes to call it. |
1:33.0 | And no matter what you achieved, there was always something else that she felt like she needed to change about her body, her appearance and herself. |
1:40.3 | Now, not the case and Chrissy shares her wisdom, her takeaways from this beautiful journey to self acceptance and ultimately body liberation. |
1:52.0 | In our conversation today, Chrissy acknowledges that the journey toward body liberation is examining your own privilege, acknowledging the harm you may be causing others and mourning your old ideas about what a body quote unquote should look like. |

3:03.8 | I am feeling so, so good. Like amazing, amazing. Your new book, The Body Liberation Project is out in bookstores now. Is it totally surreal? |
3:14.5 | It is so surreal. Like every time I walk into a bookstore and see it or people send me pictures of it in the bookstore, I still can't believe it. It's like my book that I wrote on a bookstore, a bookshelf in a store. It's wild. |
3:27.8 | Well, I had you on the show. I believe it was about maybe a year and a half ago, which seems like it wasn't that long time really flies. |
3:34.3 | It's time is flying. And this time, even better because we're doing it, IRL. I'm so excited to have you in the studio. And naturally, I knew with a big book launch, you had to come in and we had to talk about Body Liberation because the time is now. |
3:49.0 | Yes, I'm so excited to be here too. And I love that we're doing it in real life this time. It's amazing. |
