Summary

It seems to me that a balanced, biblical view will affirm both the role of the husband as having higher authority in the household and his responsibility to utilize that authority for self-sacrificial service. 0:35.0	The wife submits to the husband, that sort of thing.
0:38.0	So it affirms the headship of the husband in the home, which I take to mean primarily.
0:42.0	He gets like the final call in matters related to the household.
0:45.0	Not that like, he's like, where are those shoes? Not those.
0:47.0	Submit. Submit.
0:48.0	Every single thing.
0:49.0	Like peanut butter more.
0:51.0	Like, I don't know that it's meant to be that.
0:55.0	But whenever the New Testament talks about leadership, it never emphasizes the authority of the leader.
1:01.0	It emphasizes the danger of their own leadership.
1:04.0	It's kind of interesting how this works.
1:05.0	So Jesus talks about the apostles and they're like, who's going to be great among us, right?
