Imagine getting into the shower, turning on the faucet, having the water in abundance there, and the whole time you're wearing a raincoat.

Maybe even having an umbrella over your head.

It's annoying, is it frustrating, is it a tragedy?

That's what it is.

I think it's a tragedy, I think this.

I think it's a frustration you probably experienced.

It's a thing I know I've experienced personally and I've seen it and I'm not trying to judge anybody out there because I just I'm looking at myself this whole time

This tragedy is someone comes to me and says father I've been going to Mass every single Sunday in my life, or maybe even,

I think went to daily Mass. And nothing's changed. People come to me and they say,

Father, I feel like I'm going to confession over and over again.

So it seems like nothing's changing.

Or those people who are just like, they're praying,

and it's like, we can't show up, I go to adoration.

I'm showing up, but I leave the same way I walked in. So how is it that we could do this, the

sacraments, which are these seven gifts that God himself has given to us through his church so that you and I

can have the life that God won for us in his life death and resurrection are not

magic. Right that's what we're trying to say.

The sacraments, we have to realize, are powerful, real, world changing, but they're not magic.

For a couple of reasons here.

Number one, because the power of the sacraments is rooted in the life-changing
