section of the Bible. So let's begin in a word of prayer.

Father in heaven, we thank you for your word,

how it is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword,

how it speaks directly to each and every one of us, no matter where we are in life.

It is the most relevant book that has ever been written.

It is your book. And so we ask now that your Holy Spirit would be our primary

teacher that he would illumine our understanding of the passage. And so I pray you'd bring it home to every heart here today. I thank

you for those watching on live stream. Pray that you would impact their lives as well.

So we pray this in Jesus' name, amen.

So, 1st John, Chapter 4, and this morning we are in verses 15 and 16, and we're just moving methodically

through this book because we really want to get down into the passage and

really understand what is being said. So the title of this lesson is who is a real Christian and I think that's a great

question to ask so who is a real Christian. I want to read verses 15 and 16. This will be our focus this morning

as we continue our march through 1st John. John John,

John writes, whoever confesses that Jesus is the son of God,

God abides in Him and He and God. We have come to know and have believed the love which God has

for us. God is love and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God, and God abides in Him.

In these verses, John continues to address the subject of who is a real Christian.
