0:00.0	Hello, welcome back to ICRounds. I welcome myself back to ICRounds. It's been a long time. It's been several years since we've actually done the podcast. The podcast still gets a lot of downloads every single day, and I've got just a lot of wonderful feedback from those of you who find

0:32.2	IC rounds podcast particularly as it relates to the current situation that we find

0:44.4	There is a lot of information coming out around the coronavirus infection.
0:52.5	And it will go from some very basic science about the biology of the virus,
0:56.6	some case series reports from China, from Italy, from Seattle. And I'd like to start the conversation talking about the surviving
1:02.5	sepsis campaign guidelines on the management of the critically ill adult of COVID-19.
1:08.9	This just came out this past week. It is a good collection of some evidence-based
1:14.4	considerations by some very thoughtful, very smart individuals who are trying to lay out
1:22.2	really what is the best practices and what is the evidence, not just necessarily around COVID-19,
1:29.1	but maybe viral pneumonia or the treatment of ARDS or fluid resuscitation
1:33.9	or the management of hypotension and somebody who's in septic shock.
1:38.3	So I'm going to try to abstract that the best as I can here today.
1:43.2	I know that many of you are in a very rushed lifestyle
1:46.4	right now. You might be in a frontline clinical role and may not have the time to sit down
1:52.3	and read an article from front to back and hopefully you can consume a podcast format,
1:57.7	perhaps on the run, and arm yourself a little bit better with information as you
2:02.5	fight COVID-19.
