We're going on the record on KCR 2221 1624 State of Idaho versus Lori,

Norine Valo, the defendant is here present.

Appearing with counsel, Mr. Archibald and Mr. Thomas,

the State's here represented by Rob Wood and Lindsay Blake.

Court would note there's a courtroom conduct order in effect that prohibits the video or audio recording of any of these proceedings for this hearing today.

Before the court this morning is a motion that was filed by the defendant,

a motion for a new trial filed on May 25th.

State filed a response to the motion on June 7th.

The courts reviewed the pleadings

and I'm prepared to hear argument on the motion.

A motion for new trial was filed due to what we believe were errors during the trial.

The Idaho statute that governs this motion is very specific on what we can bring up.

Our client still preserves all of her other appellate rights other than what's contained in this motion for new trial.
