0:06.5	Hey, welcome back. I'm Jeffrey Masters. And for the last year, I've been collecting interviews
0:11.8	with different queer elders, trans elders, intersex elders, and I'm very excited to tell you
0:17.0	that next week, on February 27th, our brand new season is dropping.
0:23.6	It is a continuation of our LGBTQ elders project, and you're going to hear from some amazing
0:29.5	people this season, people like Martha Shelley, who began her career as an activist before
0:35.5	the Stonewall uprising.
0:37.7	To me, the important thing about Stonewall is not that there was a riot because there
0:42.9	had been, I think, at least one other gay riot on the West Coast.
0:47.4	But nothing happened in terms of organizing after that.
0:50.2	The important thing about Stonewall was that we organized.
0:59.8	Throwing bottles or bricks or whatever at a few cops, getting arrested, going home.
1:02.4	That doesn't change the world.
1:05.9	What changes the world is organizing.
