Paul, what is Title IX? So Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a law that was passed by Congress in that year that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs and

activities that receive federal funding. And so that includes colleges and universities, which is

usually the first thing that people think of when they think of Title IX is women's sports programs and the like,

but it also includes public K-12 school systems across the country because those school systems

receive federal financial assistance. And so they are all subject to Title IX and its

non-discrimination mandate.

Jacob, how would you describe the Biden administration's attempts to redefine Title IX?
