recently, with Russian soldiers apparently withdrawing from the area around the capital.

Ukrainian forces now claim to have retaken at least 29 northern towns and cities and found

utter devastation awaiting them on their return. Sergei Naikiforov, a spokesman for President

Zelensky, appeared on Sunday morning with Clive Myrie and described the carnage in detail.

These images are really, they are heartbreaking. We found mass graves filled

with civilians. We found people with their hands and with their legs tied, tied up, if it's

do I say it correctly, tied up and was shots, was bullet holes at the back of their heads. So they

were clearly civilians and they were executed. We found half burned bodies as if somebody tried

to hide their crimes but they actually didn't have enough time to do it properly. So these

bodies are corpses are only half burned and that's the it's only the first you know the first

assessment of the situation. I mean these images are really horrible and right now our troops

actually the whole Kiev region, we say Kiev oblast, right, Kiev region is deoccupied, is free

from Russian troops and our militaries are now not investigating but how to say clearing it up

in searching for mines, searching for maybe some snipers or whatever can
