It's stupid, I know, but it's how podcast metrics are measured, otherwise I wouldn't ask.

I realized at the end of last episode that following a box-car hobo rape with

shilling for an iTunes review would be a little gosh so I held off until now.

And speaking to last episode, that was sort of a rough one, and that ended very poorly for Jackson. I can't even imagine what that train trip was like. But as Jackson started to come around, he not only had a weird trip down memory lane in his first trip back, but he saw that the Great Depression had finally hit his family.

Lero was having issues finding work, even though he was already out west where there were

more jobs.

Leeroy at this point, though he deserves a bunch of shit, he's the only reason why the Pollocks are just

now starting to even feel the Great Depression.

He's been on that rasher of bacon and moonshine diet doing the of mice and men things, so everything

he's been earning is going back to the family.

Leroy is not thrilled about Jackson being in art school.

That's a little, you know, in his eyes, and he lets Jackson know that.

Which is also a little rich.

All-male road crews away from their families

for a long periods of time

and then throw in a warm fire in the cool desert nights

and a bunch of liquor?
