You know, I miss my best friend and his family's. They're part broken over it, things I am.

I don't want to give up hope on him. I certainly still hope he's alive. He wasn't really the type of guy to ask people for help.

It'd be more likely to offer people help.

I could see him ending up in the river, you know, a drunk driver slammed into him and like catapulted his body into the river.

I could see that, but you know, him getting drunk and falling off of the trail. I just don't see that.

And people regularly fish that river.

On the evening of November 3rd, 2018, 28-year-old James Lydka and his roommate joined some friends on a popular street in Oaklayer, Wisconsin, for a night of celebrating a friend's birthday.

In the early morning hours of November 4th, James was last seen on surveillance video walking behind a local bar.

That camera footage is the last known sighting of James.

He never made it home and was never seen or heard from again.
