I'm Faith Moore, and this season we're reading Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.

Each episode, I'll read one chapter from the book,

pausing from time to time to give brief explanations so it's easier to follow along.

It's like an audiobook with built-in notes.

So brew a pot of tea, find a cozy chair,

and settle in. This is episode 12 of story time for grownups. We are about to read Chapter 12 of Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte with a few notes along the way. I'm so glad you're here, whether you're

joining us for the very first time or this is your 12th episode with us. I am so glad that you

are here. Did it snow where you are? Where I am, we had a big snowstorm yesterday and now it is

very cold and very sunny and the snow is kind of melting and falling off of things.

And it's the perfect day for a story.

It's the perfect day for story time.

I hope that wherever you are, you have your cozy chair, your warm blanket, a warm drink,

or if you're somewhere warm, then I hope that you've got your ice tea or whatever

it is and that you are snuggled up and ready to enjoy a story. If you are finding us for the

very first time today, welcome. I am so glad that you're here. If this is your very first time

with Jane Eyre, if you've never read the book before and you know nothing about it,

I recommend pausing this episode and going back to episode one, because we are reading the book

chapter by chapter, so we're about to do chapter 12. So we might, it might be a little confusing

if you start here. But if you are new and you do know Jane Eyre and you've read the book

before and you'd just like to jump right in and follow along with us, then please do.
