0:10.7	Dahmer and the dark tetrade. If you don't remember Jeffrey Dahmer, he was the fella who
0:17.2	was caught, I believe, in the 90s of having been a serial killer. Although, serial killers
0:27.1	are often quite sensationalized in the news and focused on by us as a public. The particulars
0:34.2	of the Dahmer case was particularly sensational to the news media because there's a lot of
0:42.9	details about it that were particularly over the top. For example, he would eat his victims
0:49.2	sometimes. He would have sex with trigger warning everybody. This is going to have some rough
0:56.7	details. He would have sex with the dead bodies. He also lured or only men's. He would look,
1:09.4	he would go to gay bars and he would lure men, gay men back to his home. And a lot in it,
1:15.9	although Jeffrey Dahmer was white, most of his victims were African-American fellas.
1:21.6	And so I just saw these details about it that were quite interesting. And so I thought we
1:30.4	would talk about that today. And the dark tetrade is the four personality traits that are
1:38.5	associated with quote unquote evil behavior in human beings. So we'd go over that. But the reason
1:44.8	that we're talking about this is because Kristen, a listener's the podcast asked that we talk
1:51.0	about it. So Kristen, please introduce yourself. Thank you. Hi, my name is Kristen Palmer.
1:57.0	And I am just finishing off my third year at the University of British Columbia. And the reason
2:03.9	why Jeffrey Dahmer is a subject of conversation is not only am I a listener of the podcast for
2:12.1	quite a long time now, which greatly helps supplement my studies. My personality class,
2:19.6	we got to pick a person that we had sort of read a psychobiography about. And I chose Jeffrey Dahmer,
2:26.1	not only because he is one of probably the most written about serial killers in history,
2:32.1	but just due to the fascination how he differs himself or he's different from others in his
2:38.1	necrophobic and sadist cannibalistic actions. And I thought of nobody better to discuss this with
