Hello everyone and welcome to Freckled Foodie and Friends, a podcast focused on

0:09.2

making healthy living approachable hosted by yours truly Cameron Rogers.

0:14.3

Hello everyone happy Friday it's Cameron here I am joined remotely with Jerome

0:20.5

Nathaniel who is the Associate Director of Policy and Government Relations over

0:24.8

at City Harvest. I was put in touch with him through his wife who is part of the Freckles Foodie family and mentioned that he would be

0:34.4

interested and potentially coming on here to talk a little bit about in general

0:39.5

what City Harvest is doing during COVID-19 and quarantine but also on the racial discrepancy of COVID-19

0:47.4

given how it is impacting different races so much in a greater impact. So welcome

0:52.4

Jerome, thank you for joining us.

0:54.0

Yeah, thank you so much for having me.

0:56.0

1:21.0

culture and I mean I think that could be defined or manifested in many different

1:26.0

ways for different people on different groups depending on the values of your family but

1:30.5

you know for me it's if I could look back and say you know that makes my

1:34.3

parents or that makes my neighborhood proud then you know if I have done right

1:42.1

I definitely agree with that and I'm curious I guess if you can put it in your own

1:48.0

words kind of just what you're doing right now at City Harvest and we do want to be clear that you're going to provide

1:56.3

your insights and personal experience and it's not really on behalf of City Harvest as a charity.
