In the Pantheon of American Conspiracy Theory is the 1963 assassination of John F. Kennedy

as the gift that keeps on giving.

For nearly 60 years it's been dissected and debated by partisans of countless conspiracy

theories that the mob did it, the Cubans did it, the Russians did it, the CIA did it,

the Pentagon did it, Nixon did it, LBJ himself did it, anybody but Lee Harvey Oswald

the disaffected self-proclaimed Marxist and former Soviet defector who just happened

to be perched with a rifle on the 6th floor of the Texas School book depository and who

the Endless Limeline Warren Commission concluded long ago was the lone government.

In recent years nothing has fueled the JFK Conspiracy world more than the CIA's refusal

to release all of its documents about the assassination.

It made a 1992 law enacted by Congress that called on the US government to release everything.

This week we got one more long delayed release by the CIA.

13,173 documents that the agency says amounts to quote all of its information known to be

directly related to the assassination.

But true to form, it wasn't everything.

If you read the fine print from the CIA there are still docs being withheld relating

to quote specific trade craft and intelligence methods still in use, specific operational

detail and intelligence sources and methods, and quote perhaps most intriguingly quote

still classified covert action programs still in effect.

So what does the newly released material show and what are they still keeping secret?
