affectionately known as Joe's Friday Friend, where everyone I sit down and talk with is either an old or a new friend of mine.

Angie Smith is a lot of things, funny, relatable, warm, a huge Jesus lover. And now I can

add my friend to that list. In all these years of ministry for both of us and mutual friends,

we've never crossed paths. We have a whole conversation about that, her famous gorgeous hair,

the question we both struggle with in interviews,

and her new book, Woven, of course. This Bible teacher and generally awesome human being is

as great to talk with as you think she is. I know you're going to love our conversation as much as I did.

Okay, first, let's talk about two things that aren't fair. Is that okay? Can we start like that?

It's kind of a weird way to start it,

but I love it. Okay. The first thing I want to talk about is that you and I have many mutual friends, but we have managed to not meet each other for literal years. And I don't know how that's

happened. Yeah. I'm disappointed about all of this. I knew nothing. Now I'm excited. I want to know every, I want to know all the

things. Start when you were baby. Yeah, right. No, it's crazy. We do, though. The ministry circle is

fairly small. And so, yeah, we've managed to just not ever meet each other. And I think that's weird.

But now we are. So we're just, it's fine. It's all good.

The other thing I want to talk about that's not fair is your hair. Listen, Lisa, you want to kick

this thing off with some real talk? Let me kick it off. Sure. Of course. I'm not, I don't like,

I'm pretty upfront. Okay. So this is not going to make sense, but stick with me. It'll get there.

I went through a really traumatic season about, it started about two years ago, just lost my dad,

lost my grandma. There's just, it's every, my sister was going through breast cancer. I mean,

it, it, it, my mom has mental illness.
