27 years of therapeutic experience is what my guest, Gene Holt House, brings to the table

today.

She's worked with couples and individuals dealing with abuse, anxiety, depression, marital

issues, divorce, parenting, and more.

I brought her on Joe today to talk specifically about things related to her book,

When Anxiety Roars, Parenting with your child to tame worry and anxiety. So many parents need some guidance

about this issue that is prevalent in today's culture. The anxiety issues our kids are having

about anything from social media to school to friends. We talk openly about parenting mistakes

and how to partner with our kids, how to spot clinical anxiety and what normal teen angst looks

Thanks so much for coming on today. I am, I'm really excited to talk to you, and I know you're going to help a lot of people. Parents especially, I want you to lean in close because our guest

has 27 years of experience in providing therapy. You have been doing this for a while.

I have. I was a teacher before I was a therapist and I enjoy getting to work with kids and

adults. That's amazing. That is a lot of serving kids, teenagers, and parents. So I consider that a lot of ministry work. So thank you for that.

What have you seen since the pandemic, especially in your therapy work? So let me ask it like this.

What is, what's the same, like what's been the same that you've seen maybe in the theme of your clients?

And then what's been different? Has there been a difference after that sort of a shift?
