Welcome to Sociology 101, live hangout. Today we are going to be responding to a recent

broadcast by Dr. White going over his exegesis of John Chapter 6, in contrast to that of John Lennox.

And so earlier today, I put out a smaller under 15 minute long broadcast because I've been accused of having too long of broadcasts.

And I understand that.

Theology geeks who are pastors tend to be a little bit long-winded.

Forgive me. But I'm also often

accused of a misrepresenting Calvinist. I don't know how better to represent Calvinists than to let them

speak for themselves. And oftentimes the Calvinist that I'm addressing are also in their own right,

a little bit long-winded. And so it takes a while to dive into those things. And that's why I try

to do a short video and long videos.

A dividing line program does the same thing where they have highlight videos, where they just show little segments of a video that

cover a particular topic. And so that's all we're trying to do here is to try to cover some of these issues.

But doing so in a way that some people like to go more in depth and watch the longer videos. Some of them like to watch some more highlight videos and the shorter videos. And so this is a longer video. The earlier one today was less than 15 minutes. If somebody wants to critique that, they're welcome to. It really hits on the issue of being called a Pelagian as often is a boogeyman tactic that's used by people like Dr. White.

And so I just want to be sure that people understand that what we're covering today is going

to be long. I don't know how long this will go, because of how long it takes. And so I never know

how long these things are going to take until I just start doing them. So that's what we're

trying to do here. And John Lennox wrote a book that we have highlighted and recommend

to people called Determined to Believe. And James White does a critique of that and he walks through

it. And as I was listening to it today, I was listening to Wise Exercising today. And I just thought, man, there's too many really clear distinctions between our view and James White's view, which he represents, I think, a mainstream form of Calvinism.

And I think they have to be highlighted in order for you all to understand why we are not Calvinist.

And this gives such a clear picture when you hear Dr. White next to John Lennox.

I think John Lennox is a in-depth good scholar and does a wonderful job.
