Summary

This week Adrienne speaks to the brilliant June Angelides MBE. June is best known for starting the UK's first child-friendly coding school for mums, Mums in Tech, while on her second maternity leave from Silicon Valley Bank. She was named by the Financial Times as the 6th Most Influential BAME Tech Leader in 2018 and the 15th most influential woman in tech by Computer Weekly. Most recently, June was appointed chair of the Future Skills Programme, and joined the investment team at Samos Investments, a venture capital firm which focuses on high-growth European businesses. She is also a founding ambassador for the FiftyFiftyPledge, a UK initiative to promote gender diversity and her company Mums in Tech has trained over 250 women and provided them with the confidence and mindset to explore careers in the tech sector. She was awarded an MBE for services to Women in Technology on the 9th of October 2020.
