Do you ever feel like you want to react and defend yourself whenever someone misunderstands you, misinterprets you, kind of gets it wrong?

You say one thing and someone hears another and you're like

let me step in there let me set you straight now this can happen in a conversation with a loved one

it can happen on the internet with a stranger it can happen anywhere and i want to share with you a

policy that i have it's not always easy to follow, but whenever I do, I'm thankful. And I'm like,

ooh, look at evolved me who would have had a very different response a few years ago.

It's this, my friends. Starve your reactions. Starve them. Right. So someone says something about you or someone

get something wrong about you or says something incorrect about you. You can just allow that to be.

Right. I used to want to kind of get in there and chime in and set the records straight and be clear.

And I really don't feel that way anymore.

So I did something in my business a little while ago that I loved, was proud of, had fun with, it was great.

Someone really misinterpreted what it was that I was

doing and saying. Really, it was just like, it was honestly like a little bit odd. It was,

I'm trying to like, not be vague here, but, okay, so I did something and delivered something and someone just thought it was really,

really not what it was, essentially, right?

It was just, oh, like almost as if it were another language.

I don't know where the confusion came from.

And what's so interesting was my initial impulse was, of course, to explain myself,

not even in a way that was

defensive, but in a way that was neutral, just clarifying. But instead, I starved it. Like,

literally, I did another, I did an episode on this a few weeks ago, like starve something of
