James Acaster here, comedian and music fan, and in 2017, I had a breakdown.

I dealt with that breakdown byn as much music from 2016 as I possibly could.

As a result, I now own over 700 albums that came out in 2016 and I'm convinced

it's the greatest year for music of all time. But it's not enough me being convinced. Also

want to convince each and every single one of you. Plus, a guest every week. I'm going to send

them an album in advance. They're going to come on the podcast. We'll talk about that album.

This week, my guest is Kimmy Pritchard McLean.

By Bruno Panadas is a Portuguese musician, composer, arranger and producer. He's a multi-instrumentalist. He's got a degree in music by the superior school of music of Lisbon in the jazz department.

He's been studying music and classical guitar since he was 13. He attended the Lisbon Jazz School.

I'm telling you all this because it is... I normally don't list an artist's credentials like that.

But I think that is a big part of who he is.

He's such a well-studied musician.

He's been studying his whole life.

He now teaches music as well at the Lisbon Jazz School where he studied himself.

This guy knows his stuff. He knows his instrument, he knows how to compose,

he knows all the technical little ins and outs of music,

and yet this album is still so much heart.

I think there's so much to get out of this.
