Last week we did our sort of event preview running down the iPhone, the Apple Watch Series 10,

the Apple Watch Ultra 3, AirPods 4, all of that good stuff. But one thing we missed and forgot to talk about,

and actually we got some feedback from Johann about it. The rumors of a plastic Apple

watch SE. So this is something Bloomberg SmartGerman has reported on saying that Apple is exploring

a new Apple watch SE design made from plastic instead of

aluminum. In my reading of Mark's reporting, I didn't read this as something that's necessarily

coming this year. I read it as more of a long-term

thing because Apple, I don't think Apple prioritizes the Apple Watch SE.

I feel like German was particularly ambiguous on timing on that product as if it could come next week or it might be a next year thing like he the way he wrote it was very careful

but it would be about time for an SE update because there wasn't one last year right so

It would there's been two SE so far right where I'm the second generation right now. Yeah

I don't think it was 2022 22 yeah it's probably a about on schedule for an SE update and obviously the you know german didn't

say it's necessarily but he mentioned that you know

plastic might appear to like kids or something and like people have gone down to

that as maybe it's more of a kids watch like that angle to me doesn't really make

sense because if the screen is still glass, it's still not going to be very

kid-friendly in the scheme of things. Like, there's a different, and when I say kids, I mean like

younger kids, right? Like teenagers are different, they I say kids I mean like younger kids right, like teenagers

are different, they can get along with it and they'll still break the screens but they

just want they want like. I feel like if you're like making a plasicky product

that is like angled at kids you also need the screen to be a different material because the

ironx glass if you're not careful it gets dinged and bashed up sapphire is better and
