Summary

Just a rambling look at 2024 and looking ahead to 2025. I talk about why I didn't do the 12 Days of Christmas, why Crimelines has more ads now, will Beyond the Files ever be publicly available, travel plans in 2025, and re-doing old episodes.

We've all seen the headlines in the news of how somebody lost their life in an act of cold-blooded murder,

0:04.7

and it grabs your attention, but have you ever stopped to think about the life of the person at the center of the news story?

0:11.1

These victims were way more than a salacious headline.

I'm Eric Carter-Londine, and my podcast, The Murder in My Family,

0:18.8

dives into some of those stories to help listeners get to know the person who was lost and how their death affected those closest to them.

Hello and welcome to this episode of Crime Lines, which honestly, half of my audience is probably going to skip, but that's okay. I'd be lying if I didn't admit that I sometimes skip these

1:30.9

happened this year is somewhat interconnected. Let's start with not doing the 12 days of crime

1:36.5

lines. The issue came down to time. I'm sure it's obvious that I can't do all of that work in

1:41.2

December, and I work on it throughout the year. I generally come across

1:45.7

shorter cases that I think I'll make good episodes and get them to at least the rough draft

1:50.2

stage before I put them aside for the 12 days. But this year with Crime Lines, I was putting out

1:55.3

more content than usual. For the last couple of years, I was only doing three episodes a month

2:00.0

and two shorter Patreon episodes, but now I'm only doing three episodes a month and two shorter Patreon

2:01.2

episodes, but now I'm doing four full episodes a month on Crime Lines, and then those shorter
