0:45.0	The greatest thing of the world is the love of God. It is the keynote of God's nature and God's revelation of himself to us. And when you come into a relationship
0:56.7	with God, you come to experience that love for yourself. And you come to love God for yourself.
1:02.9	But I'll remind you that Godward love becomes then manward love. You remember, Jesus said the
1:08.3	first great commandment, love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and the second is like unto it, thou shalt love thy neighbor
1:14.7	as thyself. A true Christian love doesn't just love God. It begins to love others like the Lord
1:23.6	loves them. And so we come today to yet another mark of a child of God. And it is this that we
1:30.4	begin to demonstrate the love of the Lord to others. In our last study, we saw the love of God being
1:36.9	perfected in us, 1 John chapter 2, verse 5 and 6. But when you come to 1 John 2, 7 through 11,
1:44.0	the love of God is not just in us,
1:46.1	the love of God is being poured through us. Listen as I read, verse 7, brethren, I write no new
1:53.2	commandment unto you. Let's pause just a moment. Do you see a subtle shift here? He addressed them
1:59.6	first as little children, a reminder that they belong to
2:02.8	the father. Now he addresses them as brethren, a reminder that they belong in a family. You see,
2:09.4	he's turning our attention now to the fact that if we truly know God and God has put his love
2:15.5	in our heart, the Lord wants us to love all the other of his children
2:20.1	and all the others that are around us. Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you,
