Do you know the greatest way to know that you have eternal life? It is this, to be growing

as a Christian. Peter talked a great deal about that, about adding to your faith.

And if you add to your faith, you can be certain that there is reality to that faith.

But people who are not at any other faith, many times they forget they were even purged

from their own sins.

That's the words of Peter.

It really parallels the teaching in 1 John chapter number two

because one of the great evidences that a person is really a Christian

is that they are obedient to the Lord and they are growing in their fellowship.

Not just content to say they have a relationship of God. They're growing in their fellowship. Not just content to say they have a relationship with God.

They're growing in their fellowship with Jesus Christ.

We return to 1 John chapter number two,

and we look to the opening four verses in our last study.
