Chapter 2. Jesus has gotten done doing some healing so people can't stop talking about him. He's

answering some questions about fasting. We covered all

that last episode. And now we're going to get into some other things that Jesus is going to be

doing that the religious leaders are not fans of. Yeah, one thing that sticks out to you

immediately, using that very important Markian buzzword immediately in this gospel is how often Jesus courts controversy very quickly.

It doesn't take long at all into his ministry before he's upsetting all, in my mind, the right people.

And so this is yet another time where he's going to upset the right people, namely the Phariseical leaders in the religious establishment.

And so we pick it up at verse 23.

It says, one Sabbath, he was going through the grain fields.

And as they made their way, his disciples began to pluck heads of grain.
