upright Citizens Brigade Improv Group in the early 90s, and who this summer

became, for the first time, an Emmy nominee in the category of Outstanding Supporting

Actor in a Comedy Series for his hilarious portrayal of Press Secretary

Mike McClintock on HBO's Emmy-winning series, VEpe.

Over the course of our conversation, the 51-year-old former correspondent for The Daily Show and fixture of Todd Phillips movies,

opens up about why he abandoned a career as a psychologist to pursue improvisational comedy.
