Hey, thanks for having me.

Yeah, look, here we are in this moment of deep suffering,

injustice, and inequality.

And Congress is going on recess

without reaching a coronavirus relief deal.

They are going on summer vacation

while the American people are suffering.

Both parties have failed us miserably,

and all the suffering that we're seeing

was a political choice, Both Republicans and Democrats chose

to bail out their corporate donors and abandon

the American people in the worst pandemic

in modern history.

And yet there is still this myth propagated mostly by corporate media that the

Democratic Party is still the party of the working class or the party of the people,

when just like the GOP, they have been the party of Wall Street, corporations,

and the oligarchy for the past several decades.

Maximilian, you wrote a stirring thread on Twitter this week, which kind of deconstructstructs this and I want to read a little bit of it and then get your get your thoughts and have a bigger conversation around it.

You said that Democrats are proudly the party of the technocratic class.
