What I want to do tonight is talk to you about what I call Spirit Soul and Body.

This is a revelation that God gave me that just changed everything around.

And in a nutshell, what I've been describing this week

was something I experienced.

When I was eight years old, I got born again,

but when I was 18, I had become a religious Pharisee.

I didn't do it on purpose.

But when I got born again, I was told

that you had to live right and you had to do all of these things.

My dad died at 12 years old and I was told it's because we didn't pray enough and because we didn't do enough of all of this stuff.

And so it was, you know, God wouldn't answer our prayer.

And man, I became committed to doing everything that they told me to do.

I read the Bible hours a day, prayed hours a day as a teenager. I was leading three to five people a week, quote unquote,

to the Lord when I was a teenager. I never missed church. I was doing everything they told me to do.

I'd have given up bubble gum if they'd have told me

that bubblegum was bad.

I was seeking God and doing everything I was told to do

and had no power, no joy in my life.
