Yeah, it's nice to finally talk to you.

We've kind of connected a little bit on the interwebs.

And you are actually one of the first people to encourage me to do an episode on Julian Assange and we did one last year and now we're doing kind of a follow-up to that and so the bulk of this show is

going to be focused which I think is the most important story that doesn't get

covered enough by the mainstream press and that is the continued persecution of journalist Julian Assange by

the United States government. One week from today Julian Assange will be back in court

fighting for his life and for his freedom.

Yet the mainstream press, and most of the people in this country,

are too busy fawning over and celebrating

the life of war criminal Colin Powell this week

to care about the freedom of a journalist who is being persecuted for

exposing US war crimes. Misty, what does it say to you about this country that the

press and the people care more about the death of a war criminal

than the life of a journalist who exposed US war crimes.

Oh, it's so depressing.

It really is so depressing.
