Paris how glamorous so since he is in the city of love I'm going to take this

opportunity to break his heart and do a movie that we always wanted to do without

him I'm sorry Paul but we had the opportunity to have David Sims, the great David Sims from the wonderful podcast, Blank Check, here with us on Unspold. He really want to talk about Moonstruck and I really want to talk to David.

So that's what we're going to do today.

So when the moon hits my eye like a big pizza pie, that is David Sims joining us on on Spouled. The year is 1987 and Norman Duison is holding a script that every director has rejected.

He can tell the script has been around because when the paper copy finally makes its way to him,

it's been dog-eared, it's scrib scribbled on there's even a big coffee kept

stain on it but Norman has a thing for movies about justice and forgiveness and

betrayal especially when people do bad things because of forces outside of their control.

We know this here on Unspooled because we just talked about him last week making the ultimate betrayal movie

Jesus Christ Superstar, where the real star is Carl Anderson's emotional, idealistic, complicated Judas.

Both Judas and Jesus keep looking up at the sky to ask God why he's putting them through

this tragedy.

So Norman is reading this pastover script and he's seeing some of those ideas in here.

It's about a 37-year-old widow named Loretta who cheats on her fiance Johnny with his brother,

Ronnie. Meanwhile, her dad, Cos his brother, Ronnie.

Meanwhile, her dad, Cosmo, was cheating on her mother, Rose.

And she's in this close-knit Italian family in Brooklyn, so her aunt and her uncle,

and her grandpa and her grandpa's five dogs, they're all getting involved in this and
