0:00.0	Hello there. My name is Tyler Griffin. And I'm Justin Collings. And this is Scripture Study Insights by Scripture Central.
0:09.1	Today, Maroni Chapter 7 through 9. And this is a wonderful opportunity to welcome Justin as a special guest today.
0:17.9	Justin is currently the academic vice president at Brigham Young University, and
0:22.4	you've been in that position for just over a year. Well over a year. And he has a lot on his plate.
0:29.2	So it's a treat to be able to get you out of the office and here to discuss Maroni 7 through 9.
0:37.1	So this is a wonderful set of chapters to invite Justin to join us because you have some training

0:44.4	Yes, I'm a lawyer sort of, an academic lawyer.
0:49.3	I studied law and I taught at the BYU Law School for nine years and maybe someday we'll teach there again
0:55.1	when my administrative path is over.
0:57.2	That's wonderful. So there's a section in here where we're really going to be able
1:01.7	to talk about judging and ties in very, very directly to some of the background that
1:08.6	you have. So before we dive into any particular verse here, I wanted
1:16.0	to just throw this first initial question out to you, Justin. What sticks out to you as
1:21.9	from a 30,000 foot overview from somebody who might be watching this thinking, yeah, I'm pretty familiar with
1:28.4	Moronai 7, faith, hope, and charity. Why should I engage with this chapter? What would
1:33.7	you say?
1:34.7	I would say this is one of the richest chapters in the scriptures. In fact, if I were allowed
1:39.1	to take only two chapters on the lifeboat, I'd probably pick Moroni 7 and Moses chapter 7.
1:46.0	There's so much here, not just about faith, hope, and charity, but really a powerful
1:52.0	testimony of the Savior in various aspects of his role and a witness that all good things
1:59.0	come from him and how we can receive all good
