Devastating wildfires driven by hurricane force winds,

scorching parts of the Los Angeles area from the Pacific coast to Pasadena,

the worst, the Pacific Palisades fire,

which is being called the worst in the history of Los Angeles.

We're getting these gusts of wind still. 30, 40, 50, 60 miles an hour.

And they pick up embers from one of these fires, take it over there, and then that next

house gets ablaze.

Foxes, Jonathan Hunt in Pacific Palisades, thousands of firefighters battling at least three

separate fires, but they're running out of water and they need help. California Governor Gavin Newsom

has called up the National Guard to help. FEMA administrator, DeAnne Criswell, says President Biden

has already approved a disaster declaration. This opens up our ability to send in resources to help with the individuals that have been impacted with sheltering, with some of the costs that they have.

The president attended a briefing on the fires with Newsom saying the recovery is going to take time.

The state of Oregon sending 240 firefighters and 50 engines to aid in fighting those fires.

President-elect Trump's legal team has filed a motion with the Supreme Court to delay his upcoming sentencing in his hush money

case. The bid will first go to Justice Sonia Sotomayor because she handles the jurisdiction of New York.

She can then refer it to the full court to decide if Trump's lawyers are correct.

They argue that Trump's sentencing on his 34 felony counts for paying off Stormy Daniels

should not go forward day after tomorrow because the High Court has already given President's wide immunity for official acts.
