Boy, so some chickens are coming home to roost for some of these celebrities that were promoting

cryptocurrency.

Let's get right into this story from CNBC, and also I kind of want to think things through based on a video we did yesterday on how the SEC considers

Bitcoin a commodity. I think it all ties in. Let's shoot over to

CNBC. We've got the headline, former Boston Celtics star Paul Pierce

settles with SEC over crypto violations. Notice crypto violations.

Also notice the key talking point.

NBA Hall of Fame or Paul Pierce settled with the SEC over allegations of unlawfully touting and

making misleading statements about, wait for it, a crypto asset security,

security, not a crypto commodity and again if you watch that video that we did on this

yesterday you know exactly what I'm referring to and this is why it's such a big deal for

Bitcoin to be considered a commodity because

and I'm not going to accuse anyone of anything here but the fact of the matter is I'm not going to accuse anyone personally the fact of the matter is, I'm not going to accuse anyone personally, the fact of the matter is that there are a lot of individuals out there that are, let's say, Bitcoin pumpers.

And by putting Bitcoin in a class of commodities it incentivizes people

who don't care anything about the principles of Bitcoin to gravitate from the crypto space over to

Bitcoin because they can use those same pump and dump type of techniques but

now they can do it without having to worry about breaking the law.

Because when you're doing that with crypto, now of a sudden you're doing that with the security.

And the laws are far, far, far more stringent.
