Howdy folks? Dominic here with a quick update on some recent discoveries, the

podcast narrative moving forward and little bits and pieces of news. First of

all please excuse my voice. I currently have a cold, probably

from the large episodes we've been releasing in the past two weeks, which tend to be an enormous

workload. Anyway, the miniseries covering the first intermediate period is over.

My break from the historical narrative is over. We're going back to the New Kingdom, to the 19th

dynasty, the age of Seti the first and Ramesses the second.

First of all, let me apologize for the long extent of the break, which has been several months or a year. Wow. It has been a bit longer than I

anticipated. To those of you who have sent emails or comments asking when we are getting

back, I fully understand your impatience.

Rest assured, now is the time.

We are starting new narrative episodes.

Firstly, I'm going to put out an episode describing the Sword of Remesies the Second that was recently unearthed

in northern Egypt. Several people have sent emails asking if I'm going to be discussing this.

So I've put together a little mini episode to introduce the discovery and the larger

significance of the excavation.

Then I will put out a compilation about King Seti the first, the early years of his reign, and some of his major achievements just to bring everyone

up to speed and restart the narrative. After that it's back to the straightforward episodes

starting with episode 193 about Prince Ramesses II and his rise to power.

I'm doing a live stream this Sunday, New Zealand time, to discuss some of the things I wanted to talk about in the first intermediate period, but didn't get a chance to cover.
