you the news. Derek, it turns out that Trump is not going to be the savior of Palestinian nationalism,

and he has in fact proposed something quite atrocious. President Donald Trump's plan for the U.S.

to take over Gaza after permanently resettling Palestinians has sparked international condemnation.

I don't want to be a wise guy, but the Riviera of the Middle East, this could be something

that could be so magnificent. His proposal has shattered Washington's decades-long policy

of a two-state solution, which would create an independent

state for Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza alongside Israel's existing one.

So, yeah, Donald Trump, in the midst of the Gaza truce, which is continued, they had another

prisoner exchange over the weekend that went seemingly pretty smoothly.

So that seems like it's in place.

Negotiations were supposed to begin this week.

I believe have begun on some level this week on the second phase of the ceasefire,

which seems like a long shot.

Benjamin Netanyahu doesn't want it.

And he's got one of the

two vetoes over whether there's a deal. So that seems like an inauspicious way to start the talks.
