That's the nothing personal word of the day.

It is Monday, April 14th, 2025.

And I would like everyone to look in the mirror and take a look. Do you have bags underneath your eyes?

Because when you don't get enough sleep, because you're watching sports really late at night, every single night, you're going to have bags

if you wake up and actually have to do stuff in the morning, which we do at 8 a.m. every day,

Eastern time. And the bags under the eyes are pretty common to those of us in the Eastern time

zone, a little bit in the central time zone. In Mountain, you're okay, us in the Eastern time zone, a little bit in the central time zone,

in Mountain you're okay, and in the Pacific time zone, you are loving life. But if you want to

pay attention to what's going on in the National League West with the Padres, the Giants,

the Dodgers, and the D-backs, if you want to watch the best teams in baseball, in the best division in baseball,

you're going to get those bags under your eyes.

And of course, when you don't have to wake up early in the morning, let's say it's the

weekend, you feel better about staying up late and watching the games.

You love Sundays where the last game is actually about, you know, over by 10 o'clock

Eastern. And I was thinking about all the stuff from the weekend between the NBA finishing,

the masters, the fact that the Rangers are not in the playoffs, quite a few sports things going on, quite a few things going on politically in entertainment.

And I wanted to start with this NOS because I was going back in my brain to a time when there was a favorite in a season,

the way the Dodgers were the favorite going into the season.

And of course, there have been examples during the Yankees dynasty with Petit and Posada and Rivera and Jeter,

that there were times when they were certainly favored, but it didn't feel this way.

The way it felt back on March 27th when opening day happened or going back before that to March 18th when the Dodgers and Cubs opened in Japan.
