Welcome to horror movie club. The show are two dudes who are not quite nerds, but not quite nobs.

Choose a horror movie each week to rate and review. I'm Brian. I'm on the phone with Oshvin.

And today we are discussing Nosferatu, written and directed by Robert Eggers, based on both Henrik Galeen's screenplay for the 1922 film of the same name

and the 1897 novel Dracula by Bram Stoker, and starring Bill Scarsgard, Nicholas Holt,

Lily Rose Depp, and Willem Defoe. In this film, the Vampiric Count Orlock of Transylvania

brings plague and terror to Germany, where he stalks the newly married

Frow Hutter.

And if you're new to the show, we're going to discuss some spoiler-free background info

for the first 15 minutes or so.

And after that, we will play some transition music and head into a spoiler-rific plot walkthrough.

So once you hear that transition music, if you haven't seen the film, go see it in

the theaters because we're going to spoil it for you, and you don't want that.

As we walk through the plot, we'll kind of review it as we go and then rate the film

zero to five stars towards the end of the episode.

Yeah, this has been a very anticipated film.

I think for pretty much everybody who's been following horror films closely over the past few years.

It's been in development since 2015.

And, you know, sometimes we say that in an episode, and it's, you know, just kind of happening in private spaces.

Nobody knows it's not like public info that this is coming down the pike.

But it feels like as horror fans, we have been expecting this movie for nearly a decade, right?
