Halper no relation that we know of at least.

I'm sure listeners are very aware of the attacks on Elon Omar.

And in fact, I appeared on Fox News to defend her,

and I'll be releasing that audio along with an interview

that I did with Adam Johnson about the media's representation of the

Israeli-Palestinian conflict and of the Ilan Omar story and also of the

Jewish voice and the way that the media represents a Jewish voice as if it's a

monolith but something that I Elon Omar's comments have both

obscured and highlighted is the role of AIPAC. It's obscured it because people are

trying to stifle any criticism of AIPAC as anti-Semitism.

But it's also, of course, forced people to look at it to some extent.

But what's interesting is that, while of course,

AIPAC does have a very outsized role in American foreign policy and in American support of Israel.

There are other factors that cause Israel to receive such unquestioning and unwavering support from nations including but not limited to the United States and that's something that Jeff Halper thinks and writes a lot about.

He's an American-born Israeli anthropologist and director of the

Israeli Committee against House Demolitions. He's the author of Obstacles to Peace and

Israeli in Palestine and war against the people

colon Israel the Palestinians and global pacification which was shortlisted for the

Palestine Book Award and he was nominated for the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize. the involved in a joint Palestinian Israeli grassroots initiative, the One Democratic State

campaign, ODCS.
